This is a rare species found only within a small group of islands off the cost of Southern Japan

First bred in the UK by me at the start of 2024 originally from a group of 5 from Japan

whereas this subspecies is Dynastes hercules septentrionalis from Costa Rica

of a highly sought-after species of millipede that is famous for its ability to glow bright blue under UV light
