PROJECT Congo
Meet David, Joël, Lischa, Wilita, and Gary.
Last year, David and I trained the Lobiko team in coaching.
In 2026, we will be training them to become trainers of others.
Global Vision: Why Now and Why Congo? 🌍
We are seeing a massive shift in global Christianity, with vibrant, accelerating growth in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Asia Pacific regions. To meet this moment, our strategy is to work directly with established indigenous leaders, empowering them through coaching to multiply disciples and equip new leaders in their own cultural context.
We believe the Lord has distinctly called our team to collaborate with strategic partners in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in 2026.

Strategic Rationale |
Our Partnership Focus |
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) |
Ranks #1 worldwide with 95.7% Christian population; Ranks #8 in actual Christian population. |
Strategic Partner: Wilita Sanguma, Lobiko Executive Director. STAGE 2: Coach Training, Train-the-Trainer (Jan-Dec 2026). |
Our Collaborative Model: Empowering Local Leaders
Instead of bringing our model, we are committed to empowering their vision. Our primary method is coaching—transferring skills and a multiplication mindset directly to these local leaders, enabling them to launch sustainable movements within their own nations.
-
In the DRC, we are focusing on equipping leaders to become master trainers of a simple reproduce leadership development process, impacting discipleship, and community development.
Will You Join Us in This Movement? 🙏
This vision to empower key leaders across Congo. Your gift was an investment in multiplication. It funded the training that equips a leader, who then trains other leaders, who then multiply disciples for generations.
Would you prayerfully consider a financial gift to help us meet this critical need and continue the work in other regions around the world in 2026?
Thank you for being a vital part of this global work. We are excited about what the Lord will do through our partnership in the coming year!
Learnings from this last year:
-
Christian coaching is a relatively new concept in some areas of the world.
-
Instead of a large-scale training event we found a Train-the-Trainer process retains quality from one generation to the next.
-
Receptivity is high where disciple making movements (DMM) and church planting movements (CPM) are happening.
